Strategy

Listen

Intentional and strategic listening campaigns allow church leaders to more fully understand their congregation and community. Listening is the foundation for all congregational and community endeavors.

Equip

After the listening process is complete, congregational leaders will be in a unique position to discern both the opportunities and challenges of their context. Church leaders are given the tools and confidence to carry out the work of congregational renewal.

Unleash

Once equipped, leaders are set free to make bold visions and take risks. In the process they discover not only what God has given them, they remain in position to execute the plan moving forward.

Values

Faith-filled

Following Christ is a life-long journey centering around the call to give ourselves away for the sake of others. “For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it.” Mark 8:35

Innovative

Change is hard but necessary for growth. Churches require bold visions and creative ideas to drive the change needed to address our current challenges.

Data-driven

Our churches did not become what they are overnight. Thorough research and analysis of congregational history allows churches to more fully understand what has shaped them in order to move forward into the future.

Community-focused

Faithful churches are rooted in their community allowing them to minister to those outside their walls. If the Holy Spirit has seen fit to plant a church in a community and has kept it there, it is because it is part of God’s ongoing mission in the world.

Testimonials

Pastor Ben Sandin led Bethel Lutheran Church in Cupertino CA to envision, design a process and framework, and build wide reaching engagement and excitement in a 3-year capital campaign supporting property acquisition and major building renovations to further Bethel’s vision of “Doing Life Together”. The capital campaign has achieved giving levels exceeding our goal by over 25%, and the money is coming in faster than originally committed. Pastor Ben’s leadership enabled Bethel to step out of our comfort zone and turn the conversations and dreams that had been brewing over last two decades into a cohesive vision with a pragmatic and realistic plan.

– Ann Marie Kenitzer, Former Communications Officer, Bethel Lutheran Church

We are currently a year into a successful Capital Campaign, which started toward the end of Pastor Ben’s first year. During the Call process, Pastor Ben had shared that he had experience with planning and executing Capital Campaigns. We have turned our vision into reality for owning a parsonage in the high-priced Bay Area as well as major facility upgrades. His courage, focus and leadership resulted in our congregation exceeding 125% of our campaign financial goal. Our congregation is thrilled to be moving toward long-term stability that a parsonage offers for generations to come.

– Brett Deutscher, Former Congregational President, Bethel Lutheran Church

Pastor Ben has helped his congregation to be Spirit-led listeners to each other and their neighborhood—necessary work for any congregation!

– John Hulden, Assistant to the Bishop, Minneapolis Area Synod

They say Christianity is dying in America. It isn’t dying at House of Prayer Lutheran Church in Richfield, MN. Our Building has always been utilized to spread the Gospel; now even more so from morning to night. We always reached out to the community; now we are reaching out and integrating into the community. How are we doing this? It starts with Pastor Ben Sandin and his team joined by an engaged congregation. We are well intentioned and have taken time to cement our direction. As an aging congregation in a first ring suburb, we are even growing. We are practicing what we are preaching.

– Buzz Moen, Former Board Member, House of Prayer Lutheran Church
